We made the 1.5 hr drive from Denver to see the fall colors at Kenosha Pass and it was so worth it. Itβs a popular area but we had no problem getting parking. The Aspens were probably fullest last weekend but the leaves that were left were amazing. We will be back not just for fall hikes but anytime of year.
Kenosha Pass was beautiful. We got out and took a couple of stunning photos of the landscape. It was certainly worth the drive around all of the wounding roads and the one lane roads.
End of Nov 2023- light snow on ground. Cross country or snow shoes may be fun as snow begins. Pit toilet open near campground. Fun to just dog walk with no traffic on road or trails.
A very beautiful place to see fall colors.
We visited on a cloudy day and trail on side of east campground.
Full of crowds on the weekend. Limited parking spots but can park at the side of the dirt road.
Definitely goto place in the fall season. It can be a 3+ hour trip from Denver. Must visit if you're in Denver during Fall to see lead peeping. πππΏ
Great hike to see the fall leaves
Great hiking and mountain biking. Did segment six from Kenosha to Breckinridge. After a couple hours of climbing, it turns into really fun single track. Plenty of stream crossings to filter water.
Very pretty, especially in the fall. The aspen colors are great, especially on the west side. However, the traffic and congestion during color season are nuts. No fun. No longer worth it to me. Unless it's a weekday, I'll go somewhere else to see the yellow.
Worth the hour drive from east Denver to see the leaves change. Really pretty drive and the mountain air is as clean and crisp as ever
